Lecsófesztivál – Lecsófolk Nagykapos
Ung-vidék legnagyobb nyári fesztiválja a régió szívében, Nagykaposon megvalósuló Lecsófesztivál, mely immár 20 éve augusztus utolsó hétvégéjén zajlik. A szép számú látogatót vonzó rendezvény tartalmas programot kínál két napon keresztül minden korosztálynak. A helyi és sztárfellépőket felvonultató koncertek, látványos programok mellett nem maradhat el a lecsófőző verseny sem. Kézművesek, arcfestés, vidámpark, kirakodó vásár, finom étkek és italok bő választéka, valamint kultúrműsor és számos koncert várja a látogatókat. A lecsófőző versenybe számos csapat kapcsolódik be minden éven.
A Lecsófesztivál most már állandó eleme az úgyn. Lecsó-folk, mely során a népzene kerül a fesztivál középpontjába. A Lecsó-Folkot 2011-ben tartották meg első alkalommal, megálmodója és szervezője a Fabotó citerazenekar. Azóta befutott, közkedvelt fesztivál lett, mert az Ung-vidéken kevés rendezvény van, amely a széles közönség számára elérhetővé teszi a népzenét, citerazenét.
A Fabotó Citerazenekar fennállása óta 1995-től a felvidéki magyar népzene és citerajáték megőrzésén, ápolásán, fejlődésen és továbbadásán munkálkodik. Ung-vidéken és Bodrogközben a szinte már feledésbe merült citerát, ill. a citerajátékot próbálja meg „újjáéleszteni“és továbbadni, valamint citera- és népzeneoktatás hiányában kinevelni az utánpótlást.
A Lecsó-Folk sorozat nem titkolt szándéka, hogy a népzene szokványos megnyilvánulása mellett a fiatalok számára elfogadhatóbb és „könnyebben emészthető” formában tálalja a népzenét és felkeltse az ifjabb generáció érdeklődését eziránt a műfaj iránt. A Lecsó-Folk elődje a 2009-ben megszervezett citeratalálkozó volt, amely miután a nagykaposi Lecsófesztiválok szerves részévé vált, Lecsó-Folk néven vált ismerté. A Lecsó-Folk a népzene mellett fokozatosan otthonává vált az etno-folk műfajnak, hogy ezáltal is még inkább megszerettesse és ismertebbé tegye a magyar népzenét. A Fabotó által megvalósított rendezvényekhez hasonlóan, a jó hangulat és színvonalas szórakozás mellett, ennek a rendezvénynek is az egyik legfontosabb célkitűzése a citerazenekar utánpótlásának biztosítása. A Lecsó-Folk elmúlt 7 évadán rengeteg citerazenekar és szólista lépett már fel, de egyéb hangszeres szólisták és más zenei formációk is szerepet kaptak, és a néptánc is szinte mindig a rendezvény része volt. A korábbi rendezvények keretén belül nagy sikernek örvendett a Csík zenekar, a Holdviola, a Ghymes, a Motiva együttes, Ferenci György és a Rackajam, a Budapest Ragtime Band, valamint a Parno Graszt.
Letcho Festival – Letcho-folk Veľké Kapušany
The largest summer festival in the Použie region is the Letcho Festival in Veľké Kapušany, in the heart of the region, which has been taking place on the last weekend of August for 20 years now. The event, which attracts a large number of visitors, offers a rich program for two days for all ages. In addition to the concerts and spectacular programs featuring local and star performers, the letcho cooking competition cannot be missed either. Craftsmen, face painting, an amusement park, an unloading fair, a wide selection of fine food and drinks, as well as a cultural program and numerous concerts await visitors. Many teams join the letcho competition every year.
The Letcho Festival is now a permanent feature of the so-called Letcho-folk, during which folk music becomes the focus of the festival. Letcho-folk was held for the first time in 2011 and was dreamed up and organized by the Fabotó Zither Band. Since then, it has become a popular festival because there are few events in the Použie region that make folk music, zither music, available to a wide audience.
Since the existence of the Fabotó Zither Band, since 1995 it has been working on the preservation, care, development and transmission of Hungarian folk music and zither playing in the region. In the Použie region and Medzibodrožie, the almost forgotten zither, resp. zither playing is tried to be “revive” and pass on by the band, and in the absence of zither and folk music education, they educate the youth.
It is not a secret intention of the Letcho-folk series to serve folk music in a form that is more acceptable and “easier to digest” for young people, in addition to the usual manifestation of folk music, and to arouse the interest of the younger generation in this genre. The predecessor of Letcho-folk was the zither meeting organized in 2009, which, after becoming an integral part of the Letcho Festivals in Veľké Kapušany, became known as Letcho-folk. In addition to folk music, Letcho-folk gradually became the home of the ethno-folk genre, in order to make Hungarian folk music even more popular and well-known. Like the events organized by Fabotó, in addition to the good atmosphere and quality entertainment, one of the most important goals of this event is to ensure the new generation of zither orchestra. There have been plenty of zither orchestras and soloists in the last 7 seasons of Letcho-folk, but other instrumental soloists and other musical formations have also been involved, and folk dance has almost always been part of the event. Within the framework of previous events, the Csík zenekar folk band, Holdviola, Ghymes, the Motiva együttes band, Ferenci György and the Rackajam, the Budapest Ragtime Band and the Parno Graszt were very successful.
